I made it!

I wrote this earlier today but am just able to post it. Hope all is well and I am sorry it took so long for a note! We are very busy..and the school is yet to begin.

Annyeong-heyeso!!
It is Friday morning here. a 14 hour difference from home. After about 30 hours of travel we arrived at our 3 bedroom apartment, a five minute walk from the church. The apartment has three mattress type things that some people are able to use. The church is very generous and has provided us each with a blanket to use. We use them as padding for our pallets on the hardwood floors. They also brought us snacks we could recognize such as Cheetos and peanut butter. Last night a few of us were able to go to a store, comparable to a Wal-Mart, but 8 stories high, and buy inflatable pillows, towels, etc. They have many of the same stores as America, and very similar prices when it comes to the mall type stores. They said the cheaper things will be int he open markets, which we will likely find later this afternoon, depending on the weather. The food is a challenge, seafood is in almost everything. I seem to get rather ill after any of it. Hopefully my body adapts or I can figure out the word seafood and ask them to leave it out of my food.
Please keep us in your prayers, we have just begun! The last day or so we have helped them with their VBS and will be performing a skit tomorrow!! I am with kindergarten and get to do crafts-I love it C=
We do not really have internet at the apartment but just received the password for it at the church, which is why it has taken a bit for me to let you know we made it here.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I have definitely been blessed by yall!

p.s.- A short rant:(because I am weird..yall know this) I do miss my family and friends, a normal shower and a bed. Jewelry, accessories and a closet for organization are on the list too. I long for air conditioning and a good night of rest. I crave hot sauce, mashed potatoes and Dr.Pepper, but I have been served a delightfully fresh helping of perspective and I could not be more grateful for it! Loving the people could not be easier and their way of life is so new and interesting to me, I want to soak it up!

  2. Hi Sweetheart! I'm so glad you are o.k. Our family and friends have been calling asking about you. Uncle Larry said hi and when I told him about the seafood he asked, "Would she rather be eating dog?" so you might think about that. You might check on an air mattress that come with a pump in it. and go buy a fan. I'll check Monday and put more money in your account. Did the debit card work or did you have to use the visa card? We love you and everybody is praying for you and the group. Uncle Ed, Aunt Linda, Marc, Marci, Aunt Laine, Uncle Dwayne and MaMa has called numerous times to see if I heard from you. We miss you but know God can use you and we are so proud of you. Take care. We have skype set up so give us a call. All Our Love, Mom
