I made it!

I wrote this earlier today but am just able to post it. Hope all is well and I am sorry it took so long for a note! We are very busy..and the school is yet to begin.

Annyeong-heyeso!!
It is Friday morning here. a 14 hour difference from home. After about 30 hours of travel we arrived at our 3 bedroom apartment, a five minute walk from the church. The apartment has three mattress type things that some people are able to use. The church is very generous and has provided us each with a blanket to use. We use them as padding for our pallets on the hardwood floors. They also brought us snacks we could recognize such as Cheetos and peanut butter. Last night a few of us were able to go to a store, comparable to a Wal-Mart, but 8 stories high, and buy inflatable pillows, towels, etc. They have many of the same stores as America, and very similar prices when it comes to the mall type stores. They said the cheaper things will be int he open markets, which we will likely find later this afternoon, depending on the weather. The food is a challenge, seafood is in almost everything. I seem to get rather ill after any of it. Hopefully my body adapts or I can figure out the word seafood and ask them to leave it out of my food.
Please keep us in your prayers, we have just begun! The last day or so we have helped them with their VBS and will be performing a skit tomorrow!! I am with kindergarten and get to do crafts-I love it C=
We do not really have internet at the apartment but just received the password for it at the church, which is why it has taken a bit for me to let you know we made it here.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I have definitely been blessed by yall!

p.s.- A short rant:(because I am weird..yall know this) I do miss my family and friends, a normal shower and a bed. Jewelry, accessories and a closet for organization are on the list too. I long for air conditioning and a good night of rest. I crave hot sauce, mashed potatoes and Dr.Pepper, but I have been served a delightfully fresh helping of perspective and I could not be more grateful for it! Loving the people could not be easier and their way of life is so new and interesting to me, I want to soak it up!

Bye-Bye Texas!!

I am going to South Korea for 18 months, leaving tomorrow morning. God is so good and has brought everything together in such amazing ways. I am almost in a numb state when thinking about all the emotions running rampant. My main concern for tomorrow morning is the luggage. Some items for prizes and many school supplies were generously donated for us to take to our classes, we were given the bags today and asked to add it to our luggage. Most people that are going with me tomorrow are coming back in about three and a half weeks, me and one guy out of the eight of us are staying long-term.
I suppose tonight I am just asking for you to pray for our safe travel and to prepare our hearts as well as the students for what God has planned. Team unity and health are crucial as well.
I hope to actually learn what I am doing with this blog as well as post pictures and update y'all with all that God is doing and what not!
God bless!
